I had a rough time growing up. My birth mother was abusive, in every sense of the word and to say the least was never a real mom to me. Everything I know of this world growing up, I learned from my father. He taught me my morals, my strength, my passion and my drive. He did everything I needed as both parents in my life, going to the family planning clinic with me, talking to me about boys & of course telling me how much he loves me no matter what when I thought I had screwed up big time. He gave me my first camera, because I accidentally destroyed his when I was five by leaving it outside in the sun. I may never have the mother figure I want (though my stepmom & I are growing much closer lately), but I have the greatest dad in the world and I am so lucky to have been raised by such an intelligent, strong, light hearted individual & I wouldn’t trade that for the world.
This is my tribute to him. <3
